Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC General Manager/Operations Manager to lead our HVAC division with energy and expertise. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all HVAC project operations, including installation, maintenance, and repair services across commercial and residential sites.
- Manage a team of technicians and field service personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work.
- Oversee service technician activities related to schematics interpretation, HVAC design implementation, plumbing systems, refrigeration units including ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliance repair.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes while maintaining detailed documentation of work processes and inspections.
- Develop strategies for property maintenance projects involving air conditioning systems, boilers, welding tasks, equipment repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with clients to assess project requirements; prepare estimates; coordinate procurement of equipment such as HVAC/R units or components requiring ohmmeter testing or welding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends including HVAC design innovations and new refrigerants; implement best practices for field service operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliance repair.
- Demonstrated ability in service technician roles with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems troubleshooting and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, HVAC design principles, electrical wiring diagrams, and property maintenance protocols.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experienced in welding techniques; capable of performing boiler maintenance and repairs.
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing field service teams or mechanical crews; excellent communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certifications in HVAC/R (such as EPA refrigerant handling), NATE, Master HVAC certification license, mechanical trades, or relevant safety training are highly desirable.
