Job Description
We are a local premier excavation and site development contractor located in Jane Lew, West Virginia that has been in the excavation business since 1995. We specialize in wide verity of projects such as heavy highway, state, private sector, federal, utilities, bulk excavation, and soil stabilization. Our commitment to our clients is to maintain the highest level of quality while delivering cost efficient results and meeting the most demanding schedules. We are actively recruiting for an experienced Project Manager with the following experience and essential responsibilities:
- Reviews project proposal and deliverables with other related departments that will be involved to determine proper lead time, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Maintain good communication with field supervision to assure timely and efficient completion of jobs, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation of the entire process at each job site.
- Process daily, weekly and monthly reporting to ensure all schedules run smoothly, all jobs are completed as prescribed, and all invoicing is processed in a timely fashion.
- Process customer schedules and reports to ensure we are meeting all appropriate customer needs and expectations.
- Plan, arrange and monitor all shipping arrangements through to fulfillment.
- Work with the Accounting department to maintain billing, scope, materials, and other job templates.
- Source and manage contractors for specific sites and projects. This includes, locating, assigning work orders, sending scope and monitoring performance to assure successful completion and proper billing.
Qualifications:
- Years of experience in an supervisory and/or projects-related role is encouraged not required
- Experience in the use of Primavera preferred
- Strong understanding of HCSS Heavy Bid preferred
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Flexible during times of change
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Ability to track work schedule, cost and progression of projects from start to finish; to ensure jobs are completed on time and under budget
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with PE, highly preferred
