Our client, a leading organization in the industrial and supply chain sector, is Looking an experienced Senior Logistics Supply Chain Manager to oversee and strengthen regional logistics operations.
This role will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive logistics strategy across multiple transportation networks, ensuring efficiency, cost optimization, and strong carrier partnerships. The position plays a key role in driving operational excellence, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a regional logistics strategy to support aggregate operations and supply chain performance.
- Design and manage logistics zones, including rate structures, billing frameworks, and cost validation.
- Establish and optimize carrier contract models, incentive programs, and routing strategies to improve efficiency and value.
- Oversee transportation networks across road, rail, and waterways, ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Promote the adoption of digital tools to enhance logistics visibility, planning, and performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sourcing strategies and production network alignment.
- Monitor fleet and asset performance, focusing on utilization, cost control, and benchmarking.
- Partner with finance teams to define logistics-related financial metrics and track overall performance.
- Lead investigations into operational incidents through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous cost optimization through strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiation, route optimization, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and champion a strong safety culture across all logistics operations.
- Lead, mentor, and guide logistics teams while adapting priorities in a dynamic environment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with relevant professional experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience in managing logistics operations, including transportation networks and carrier relationships.
- Strong understanding of cost optimization strategies, procurement, and logistics planning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to analyze operational data, develop insights, and make informed strategic decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
