Position Summary
The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring shipments, communicating with carriers, vessel agents and customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting daily transportation operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch shipments with trucking companies, airlines, ocean carriers and delivery to warehouse / vessel.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays, exceptions, or service issues.
- Communicate shipment updates to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Track freight movements and maintain accurate shipment records in Navigator System
- Review shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Air Waybills (AWB), delivery orders, and customs-related documents.
- Work closely with warehouse, customs brokerage, and operations teams to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Resolve operational issues such as missed pickups, delivery discrepancies, and routing challenges.
- Assist with carrier rate requests and transportation cost management.
- Ensure all shipments meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Support after-hours or urgent shipment monitoring when required.
