Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in asphalt, excavation, and/or utility construction. This role will oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring efficient execution, cost control, and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from start to finish
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance
Track project costs and ensure profitability targets are met
Handle project documentation, change orders, and reporting
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
Identify and resolve issues proactively to avoid delays
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards

Qualifications

Required: 3+ years of project management experience in asphalt, excavation, or utility construction
Strong understanding of site development, grading, paving, and underground utilities
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and crews
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
Experience with DOT, municipal, or commercial site work projects
Knowledge of estimating or takeoffs is a plus
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus
Ability to operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steer, rollers, pavers, etc.) is a plus
