Job Summary
We are a busy electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, and work with precision and focus to deliver quality driven results.
Duties
- Manage projects from start to finish, tracking labor and materials throughout the duration of the project.
- Communicate with Clients, GCs, CMs, Subcontractors, Engineers, and Architects.
- Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to coordinate electrical design with other disciplines, both within the firm and partnering consultants, to meet project deliverables.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with submittal process, create RFIs, Change Orders, etc.
- Ability to navigate through DOB’s Website to file permits, PAAs, inspection requests, certifying objections.
- Attend DOB/BEC inspections.
- Review and incorporate client specific design standards to projects.
- Review equipment vendor documentation to determine installation and integration requirements.
- Utilize Con Edison Project Center to open and manage cases or work tickets, scheduling appointments (interim & final inspections), uploading documents (applications of services, load letters, Sleeve affidavits, DNR, BEC filing), case inquiries, etc.
- Schedule and attend the Con Edison site inspections.
- Manage and schedule field crew.
- Sourcing materials and equipment to obtain pricing and lead time.
- Attend site meetings.
- Familiarity with AIA Contracts and the requisition process.
- Schedule and manage project closeouts.
- Proficiency in various Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel Outlook.
- Client interface as part of the team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD a plus.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to track and monitor large/complex ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Must have strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Previous work with an electrical contractor.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable electrical codes.
- Flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines required.
- Other construction experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Arc-Flash, short-circuit, coordination studies are a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Able to interface and perform in a team-based environment, and individually.
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of motor starter and motor control is desired.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
