The Opportunity
For a Manager, Truckload Procurement to play a key role in shaping how they source and manage truckload capacity across our business units.
This is a highly visible role sitting close to both strategy and execution that is ideal for someone who understands the freight market, enjoys working with carriers, and can turn data and market insight into practical sourcing decisions that improve cost and service performance.
You’ll be responsible for running sourcing events, managing carrier relationships, and supporting the development of scalable, network-based transportation solutions across truckload, flatbed, and intermodal.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support truckload sourcing events, including RFPs and bid analysis across multiple business units
- Develop and optimise routing guides to balance cost, service, and capacity reliability
- Partner closely with carriers and Logistics Service Providers to build strong, long-term relationships
- Monitor carrier performance against key KPIs such as on-time delivery, acceptance rates, compliance, and cost efficiency
- Track freight market trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and master data teams to ensure accurate planning and execution across transportation networks
- Support cross-functional discussions by bringing a clear view of market dynamics, pricing, and capacity conditions
What they're looking for
- Experience in transportation procurement, logistics sourcing, or carrier management
- Strong understanding of truckload, flatbed, and/or intermodal markets
- Hands-on experience with RFPs, bid analysis, and routing guide development
- Confidence working with carriers and managing supplier performance
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and cost data
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
