Bette & Cring, LLC, an ENR Top 400 Contractor, is looking for qualified Assistant Project Manager candidates to join our industry-leading Construction Management team and work with our clients in Upstate New York.

ENTRY-LEVEL Positions available in our Heavy Highway Division; Building Division; and Power Division.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This entry-level position requires a Team Player and self starter with excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.

The primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist Project Manager(s) in guiding commercial construction projects to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations with on-time and on-budget results
Assist with organization and coordination of entire project team and project activities
Assist with Estimating and Procurement of material and equipment
Assist with Contract administration and reporting including Document Management; Schedule Management; and Change Order Management
Assist with Job Cost Management - Assist with developing project budgets, work breakdown structures and generate regular job cost and cash flow forecast reports
Assist Project Manager(s) in preparing verbal and written communication for executive management, clients, design team, and other team members to provide progress updates and report issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree in an accredited industry related curriculum (engineering, construction, etc) – OR – an equivalent combination of higher education, technical experience, and/or military background is required. Education and/or experience in commercial construction preferred:

Understanding of construction project delivery, estimating, scheduling, and project management
Ability to interpret construction drawings and materials specifications
Understanding of site safety, insurance risks, and quality control
Proficient in the use of basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and construction scheduling programs as well as Procore
Ability to safely navigate conditions present at a construction site, including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, and maneuvering uneven surfaces etc. for the purpose of inspecting progress
