Job Overview

Safety Training and Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Standby Rescue Technician to join our team and provide safety and emergency response efforts within industrial construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring the protection of workers in high-risk environments such as refineries, power plants, and large-scale construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in standby rescue operations for industrial construction activities, including confined space entry, high-angle work, and hazardous material handling.
Support the development and execution of rescue plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry-specific safety standards.
Conduct safety training, rescue drills, and risk assessments to prepare teams for emergencies.
Collaborate with project managers and safety professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and site-specific safety requirements.
Inspect and maintain rescue equipment, ensuring readiness for immediate deployment.
Document incidents, prepare safety reports, and recommend enhancements to rescue and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience in industrial construction safety, emergency response, or rescue operations.
Experience in confined space rescue, high-angle rescue, or other industrial rescue techniques (certifications preferred).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and safety protocols.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with diverse construction crews.
Physical capability to perform rescue operations in challenging industrial environments including climbing, lifting and reaching.
