Position: Logistics Advisor / Specialist / Planner

Summary:
The Logistics Advisor / Specialist / Planner provides strategic and operational logistics support for global exploration drilling campaigns. This role is responsible for end-to-end logistics planning, contracting, asset and materials management, and ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution across marine, aviation, shorebase, and land transport operations. The position works closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and multi-company partners to support execution, assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties:
Logistics Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive logistics plans to support global exploration well campaigns.
- Provide logistics input to project planning, risk assessments, and execution strategies in alignment with Client procedures and industry best practices.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to optimize storage capacity, vessel and aircraft utilization, and minimize operational delays.
Contractor & Service Provider Management
- Contract, manage, and oversee logistics service providers, including shorebase, marine, aviation, and land transportation providers.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, safety standards, and operational requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives with logistics contractors to enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Materials & Asset Management
- Manage materials and inventory to ensure availability, traceability, and proper handling throughout the supply chain.
- Oversee asset utilization and logistics-related equipment to support drilling operations effectively.
Assurance & Stakeholder Coordination
- Support assurance activities such as peer reviews, audits, and implementation of logistics best practices.
- Act as a focal point for logistics coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners, including international and national operating partners.
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary and multi-company teams to support safe and efficient operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in logistics operations within oil & gas, energy, or offshore environments.
- Demonstrated capability in logistics planning, contractor management, and materials management.
- Working knowledge of marine, aviation, and land transportation logistics.
- Experience supporting offshore drilling or completions operations is preferred.
- Experience working with international suppliers and multi-company project teams is preferred.
- Strong planning, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commercial awareness with a disciplined approach to cost management.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-disciplinary, global environments.
