Vice President, Information Technology
Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the technology functions, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and IT operations. You will be accountable for establishing governance frameworks, risk management, compliance, and delivering technology solutions that enable sustainable growth and a competitive edge. Also, this position directs the ongoing maintenance of the IT strategic plan, budget development and performance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executives to develop and implement technological strategies that align with the company’s long-term planning.
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategic roadmap.
- Collaborate with other executives to identify and prioritize technological initiatives that will drive business growth and success.
- Oversee the reliability, security, and scalability of all IT systems and infrastructure.
- Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement with managing department performance.
- Stays up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the industry, and makes recommendations for improvements to technology infrastructure, ensuring the most cost-effective use of technology.
- Proposes solutions that solve business challenges and ensure all are technically feasible and are executed on time within budget.
- Lead projects for ERP and other system conversions & implementations.
- Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the organization’s cybersecurity posture and incident response strategy through identifying and mitigating technology-related business risks.
- Maintains relationships with external providers.
- Negotiates and contracts with consultants and vendors for services and products.
- Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
- Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.
Education Requirement/Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of success
- Experience in project leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other executives and stakeholders
- Experience developing and managing budgets
- Ability to think strategically and develop long-term technology plans that align with business goals and objectives
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be experience in Windows Server Management
