As a Mechanical Test Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be part of a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of test systems and test processes for aerospace systems and components. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical and test engineering, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in supporting the testing and evaluation innovative aerospace products and test systems, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge about industry standards and testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Assists with performing and coordinating test design, development and/or analysis functions on engineering test projects. Supports and executes test programs.
- Assists with designing and/or developing test systems for new products and unique equipment to meet specific requirements of customer orders.
- Assesses equipment, tooling gages, or acceptance equipment and processing methods required to test complex components and assemblies.
- Coordinates acquisition of resources, parts and techniques.
- Follows operating procedures on new and existing test systems and components.
- Interacts with design agencies and suppliers to assist in resolving test design, test development, and acceptance issues.
- Assists in preparing evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates improvements for test equipment, procedures, or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce process time.
- May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and methodologies
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems or test equipment
WE VALUE
- Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering, systems engineering and/or test engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with mechanical testing methods and equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems is a plus, i.e. motor controllers, fan assemblies, control systems, high-speed turbo-machinery components, etc

The annual base salary range for this position is $78,400 - $98,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
