We are seeking a Senior Transportation Analyst who will work in collaboration with the organization to strategically and tactically develop, align and implement Logistic/Transportation Services to improve the company’s bottom line results. The Senior Transportation Analyst will be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective flow of products to and from GNC’s distribution network to effectively support our domestic store locations, as well as to and from client’s distribution network to effectively support our domestic and international customers in all channels of the Transportation Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day transportation operations across Inbound, Wholesale, and International channels including Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Truckload (TL), Intermodal (IMDL), and Parcel (PCL) modes.
- Execute operational transportation responsibilities including carrier assignment, shipment tendering, appointment scheduling, and routing optimization to support efficient freight movement via our Transportation Management System (TMS – Manhattan)
- Assist vendors and internal partners with TMS-related questions, routing processes, and shipment visibility to ensure efficient system utilization.
- Develop and maintain transportation cost models, forecasts, and monthly freight spend projections to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Support transportation network improvement initiatives through scenario modeling, cost/benefit analysis, and shipment optimization analysis.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with established routing guides, transportation processes, and service expectations.
- Track and support resolution of freight claims and transportation chargebacks with carriers and internal partners.
- Assist in managing freight invoice audit processes and collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Analyze transportation performance, freight spend, and service metrics to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Monitor transportation KPIs including service performance, cost metrics, and carrier performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Prepare and maintain transportation reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into operational performance and freight spend.
- Provide operational support for the Transportation Management System (TMS), including shipment execution, routing processes, and troubleshooting system issues.
- Maintain transportation data integrity across systems and reporting tools to ensure accurate operational and financial reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by conducting root cause analysis, documenting processes, and recommending operational enhancements.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of import and export shipments by preparing and validating required documentation and supporting customs clearance processes.
- Maintain import/export documentation and support compliance with international shipping requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and external partners to resolve issues related to customs documentation, shipment visibility, and international transportation processes.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including Distribution, Inventory Planning, Wholesale, Compliance, and Finance to support transportation planning and execution.
- Present analytical findings and operational insights to transportation leadership to support data-driven decision making.
- Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
- 5+ years progressive Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics experience required
- Experience with the execution and functionality of a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Industry exposure in Truckload, Less-than-Truckload, Parcel and Inter-modal operations
- Ability to demonstrate fluency in logistics analysis (KPI, Metric Reporting, Scorecards)
- Experience with Import/Export processes, documents, and regulations
- Knowledge of budgeting and P&L analysis as it relates to Transportation
- High skill sets with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Internet applications
- Experience using warehouse, transportation platforms, financial/inventory management systems.
- High degree of proficiency SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
