About the Role
The Driver Manager is an on‑site, operations‑critical role responsible for real‑time execution, driver communication, and service performance. You will own the day‑to‑day movement of drivers and freight, working closely with planners, safety, maintenance, and leadership to keep the operation aligned and running smoothly.
This is not a passive “monitoring” role — it’s an active, decision‑making position where urgency and accuracy matter.
What You’ll Do
- Own real‑time execution for assigned drivers, ensuring on‑time pickups, deliveries, and proactive issue resolution
- Serve as the communication hub, providing clear, consistent updates and direction to drivers throughout the day
- Track & trace with precision, maintaining full visibility of all loads and anticipating problems before they escalate
- Ensure safety & compliance, including HOS monitoring, ELD accuracy, and adherence to company policies
- Drive performance, identifying at‑risk drivers, addressing gaps, and escalating issues when needed
- Solve problems fast, including breakdowns, delays, missed appointments, and customer service challenges
- Maintain system accuracy in Alvys, Motive, and internal communication tools
- Collaborate on‑site with planners, safety, maintenance, and leadership to ensure alignment
- Provide clean after‑hours handoffs to maintain continuity across shifts
