Position Overview:
The Head of IT will lead the strategy, implementation, and management of technology solutions supporting Midea America’s U.S. operations. This leader will partner closely with executive and business teams to ensure IT systems, infrastructure, and digital initiatives effectively support business performance, operational scalability, and innovation. This role requires a hands-on technology leader with experience managing enterprise systems, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives within a complex and fast-paced organization.
Job Responsibilities:
IT Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the IT function for Midea America, overseeing technology operations, systems, and infrastructure.
- Develop and execute IT strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency across North America.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team while fostering collaboration across business units.
Enterprise Systems & Applications
- Oversee core enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, and supply chain systems, such as WMS, TMS and inbound tracking system.
- Partner with analytics, finance, operations, and commercial teams to ensure technology supports business processes and decision-making.
- Drive improvements and modernization of existing systems.
Digital Transformation
- Lead initiatives focused on system integration, automation, and data capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability.
Infrastructure & Security
- Ensure reliable and secure IT infrastructure, including networks and systems.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect company systems and data.
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage external technology vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Oversee IT budgets and ensure cost-effective technology investments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
- 3–5 years managing IT teams or enterprise technology initiatives.
- Experience supporting U.S. business operations in manufacturing, consumer products, appliances, or electronics industries is highly preferred.
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience with enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience managing complex IT environments across multiple business functions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Experience working in global or matrix organizations is a plus.
