Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher who will maintain a high level of customer service while dispatching technicians and crews to jobsites. Tracking personnel and equipment effectively and efficiently contribute to greater productivity. This position would require the dispatcher to be on call 24/7 during their on days. They would work ten on, four off, and the four off would be a 4-day weekend, Friday-Monday.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Schedule or dispatch workers or work crews to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
- Coordinating with office personnel to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing of jobs completed.
- Communication with technicians to schedule return services.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment.
- Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
- Make sure all field personnel are dispatched efficiently and correctly.
- Ability to analyze dispatch situations and react with prompt decisions that result in a high level of company efficiency on own with limited or no supervision.
- Constantly monitoring the dispatch board for future situations or changes in the schedule for the day.
- Look ahead to next day to verify all technicians have their first call scheduled and print all work orders for the following day for each technician.
Required
Minimum Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of customer service, dispatch, and/or clerical experience.
- Efficient with multi-line phone system
- Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to manage multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
Preferred
- Above average people skills and ability to deal effectively with people at all levels of the company with limited supervision or guidance.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Must be a team player.

Work Environment
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Occasionally you may need to kneel, reach, or stoop.
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
- If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
