Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee general contracting projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management development, risk management, and process improvement. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, managing project portfolios, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals through effective communication and stakeholder engagement. Accurate, timely, and transparent reporting to ownership is a core responsibility of this role and is critical to project success. The Project Manager must proactively communicate schedule status, financial performance, risks, and corrective actions so leadership is never surprised. Clear documentation and consistent reporting standards are required to support informed decision-making and accountability.
Hours of operation: Mon - Thurs 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Duties
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs through cost control techniques, and perform earned value management to track project performance.
- Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues proactively.
- Oversee program development and program management activities to ensure consistency across projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage contracts to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Lead team management efforts including supervising project teams and resolving conflicts efficiently.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and technical documentation for executive review and stakeholder updates.
- Drive change management initiatives aligned with organizational transformation goals.
- Through Buildertrend update clients on project progress and communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management with a minimum of 2 years leading complex projects or programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in program development, scope management, risk management, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective meeting facilitation and technical writing.
- Ability to perform data analysis using SAS or similar tools for informed decision-making.
