About the Role:
The Project Manager - Construction is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to manage project scope, schedule, and resources effectively. The Project Manager will lead risk management efforts, resolve issues promptly, and maintain compliance with safety regulations and building codes. They will also be instrumental in managing project documentation, contracts, and communication among all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Ultimately, the Project Manager ensures that construction projects meet client expectations while optimizing operational efficiency and profitability.
Minimum Qualifications:.
- Proven experience managing construction projects
- knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management or construction experience
- Petroleum industry experience
- Knowledge of UST and fuel dispensing systems
- Retail or convenience store experience is a big plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with contractors and being on job sites
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Willingness to travel to store locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to maintain project progress and quality.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential delays or cost overruns.
- Communicate regularly with company leadership, and team members to provide updates and resolve issues.

The Project Manager utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to coordinate diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines. Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying risks and implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track. Additionally, negotiation and contract management skills are applied to manage subcontractors and suppliers, securing favorable terms and maintaining project quality.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
