Interwest Technology Systems is seeking qualified Project Manager Candidates for estimating, managing, and design of structured cabling projects. The project manager position at ITS is a senior level position that is responsible for leading projects from conception to completion. They are responsible for the operational and financial results of projects. The project manager is responsible for coordinating with other ITS team members to ensure that their projects are aligned and coordinated with the strategy and operations of ITS. Candidates must have strategic focus, operational discipline, strong management, team building and communication skills. Individuals possessing the technical knowledge, experience, and motivation for this position are encouraged to submit qualifications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Estimate and project management of structured cabling, limited energy systems and related infrastructure. Specification and plan review, estimate and proposal development and deployment, and analyzing proposal parameters leading to successful proposal results.
- Review and organize scope of work documents and develop estimate price structures based on a risk recognition/ success process. Prepare the take-off, estimate and proposal for pre-design, design build or conceptual projects for various work scopes. Solicit and evaluate distributor and sub-contract estimate costs, provide accurate tabulation of estimates and incorporate in the bid summary.
- Review, understand and respond to complex RFQ’s for federal, state, municipal and private projects.
- Manage multiple projects and proposals or bids and associated time frames and priorities. Manage internal/external project teams concurrently. Support the projects managed technically and via supervision and inspection.
- Review, understand and flow down project contract provisions and provide successful execution of contract provisions during the project. Establish and manage project schedule, budget, procurement, and related project administrative objectives. Apply overall project cost control and link project costs to project schedule or phases. Evaluate value engineering opportunities during the project and produce effective change order proposals if necessary.
- Review, evaluate, plan and understand all project documents including specifications, drawings, addenda, contract applications, project close out safety programs, project material and tool accountability, security, and inventory. Manage and communicate design change documents and coordinate with the project teams.
- Provide management to establish and maintain a well-organized, efficient and professional project.
- Provide timely communication and documentation to the project team as to project status, schedule, production or impacts.
- Provide solutions to project issues. Manage, direct and provide a scheduled plan for assigned project personnel and document production efforts aligned with project and company goals.
- Maintain and advance relationships with the project team and client in a professional and client conscious manner.
- Provide feedback to ITS project personnel and serve as point of contact for them to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience in telecommunications estimating and project management
- Experience in project budgeting, design, scheduling and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability in acquiring and advancing client relationships
- Experience in managing multiple projects and proposals or bids and associated time frames and priorities
- Ability to manage and maintain a well-organized, efficient and professional project
- Strategic thinker with leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely in written form
- Strong management skills and ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Highly organized multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in BICSI, EIA/TIA, and IEEE Standards, NEC Codes, and various manufactures certification programs.
Additional Requirements:
- BICSI RCDD certification required, PMP preferred
- High School Diploma / 2-year or Project Management BA degree preferred
- Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Bluebeam

Pay: $82,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
