Position Summary
Lead engineering operations and execution of technical programs by managing cross-functional teams, driving project performance, and ensuring alignment to schedule, budget, and contractual deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects to meet timeline, budget, and performance objectives
- Oversee day-to-day engineering operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with requirements
- Manage and direct engineers, contractors, and subcontractors across multiple programs
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets
- Own engineering budgets, cost controls, and financial performance tracking
- Coordinate closely with program management and scheduling teams to ensure alignment with contractual deliverables
- Develop, track, and report on departmental KPIs aligned with organizational objectives
- Support business development efforts through preparation of engineering proposals
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance
- Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency across programs
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in engineering program or project management
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Proven experience planning, scheduling, and executing engineering projects
- Experience leading engineering teams and distributed technical groups
- Strong background in budget management and project cost control
- Experience coordinating internal teams, contractors, and subcontracted engineering services
- Ability to work cross-functionally with program management and scheduling teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing complex, multi-team technical programs
- Familiarity with structured project management methodologies (e.g., PMO frameworks)
- Experience supporting engineering proposals and business development efforts
- Background in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
