Join Riverbend Energetics as a Manufacturing Engineer I and launch your career at the forefront of U.S. defense technology. We're a 150-person specialized contractor developing energetic components, electric/stab detonators, and CAD/PAD systems for critical national security missions — and we're looking for an early-career engineer ready to build rare, high-demand expertise in a field where your work truly matters.
What you'll do:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and traveler packages for energetic components and initiating devices
- Support tooling and fixture design, qualification, and continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in PFMEA, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and production teams on non-conformances and yield improvements
- Translate engineering designs into manufacturable processes during new product introduction (NPI)
What you'll bring: A BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; strong fundamentals in GD&T and technical drawing interpretation; sharp analytical skills; and the ability to communicate clearly in a team-oriented production environment. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government security clearance are required. Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or defense, familiarity with lean/Six Sigma tools, and exposure to AS9100 or MIL-SPEC standards are a plus.
In return, Riverbend offers competitive compensation, specialized training in energetic materials and explosive safety, tuition assistance, and real career growth opportunities inside a company where individual contributions are seen and valued. This is a chance to develop a highly differentiated skill set in a niche industry with long-term demand.
