Job Description: Personnel Recovery Subject Matter Expert (PR SME) (This position is contingent upon contract award.)

Position Summary:
WGI is seeking a PR SME to be responsible for integrating Army Personnel Recovery capabilities into the development, planning, and production of all assigned products and task deliverables. This role requires deep expertise in personnel recovery doctrine, systems, and operations, along with advanced knowledge of Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) principles and training. The PR SME serves as a senior advisor, ensuring PR considerations are effectively incorporated across strategic, operational, and tactical levels of military operations.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Integrate Army Personnel Recovery concepts into all assigned deliverables, products, and operational planning efforts
- Provide subject matter expertise on PR methods, systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Support development and refinement of PR doctrine, training materials, and operational processes
- Advise on SERE-related training, doctrine, and implementation
- Contribute to planning and execution across the full spectrum of military operations, including defense support to civil authorities and civil search and rescue
- Collaborate with military and contractor personnel in both on-site and remote environments
- Participate in meetings, working groups, and collaborative efforts using digital platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Support classified and unclassified project requirements as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Served as a qualified U.S. Army Special Forces Operator
- Active Secret Clearance
- Graduate of a Department of Defense (DoD) SERE-C course
- Minimum of 8 years of Personnel Recovery (PR) experience across strategic, operational, and tactical assignments
- Demonstrated experience in progressively responsible roles such as: Personnel Recovery Officer (PRO), Combat Rescue Officer (CRO), PR Controller, PR Section OIC/NCOIC, JPRC/PRCC/PRCS Director, Rescue Coordination Team (RCT) Chief, SERE Instructor, Senior/managerial roles within institutional, training environments
- Experience at battalion level or higher (or equivalent)
- Proven ability to operate across diverse mission sets, including civil support and search and rescue operations
