Summary: Seeking a project manager with a strong electrical background. Experienced in industrial machine automation and electrical distribution systems. Must have proven ability to manage projects, coordinate teams, and prepare accurate project quotes.
Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This includes preparing accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for projects, ensuring profitability while aligning with customer expectations and Company Capabilities.
This role acts as the primary point of contact between the client and the Company, managing resources, schedules and communication to achieve project success while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution – Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and basic cost considerations. Collaborates with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, and assigns tasks and responsibilities so that tasks and assignments are clear.
Budget Management – Monitors project budgets and expenses to ensure profitability, Reviews estimates, tracks costs against projected budgets, identifies potential cost overruns, and implements corrective measures as needed.
Scheduling Coordination – Works closely with the Director of Industrial Services to allocate labor and resources effectively, coordinates the delivery of materials, equipment, and tools to project sites.
Client & Stakeholder Communication – Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addresses client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction and protect the Company brand and reputation.
Compliance & Safety – Ensures all work complies with federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA standards, conducts site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
Team Leadership & Performance – mentors field personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficiency work environment, provides feedback and support to Superintendents and Foremen and the respective crews to enhance performance and productivity.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution – Identifies and resolves project risks, delays or conflicts promptly, maintains detailed records of challenges and solutions for future improvement.
Documentation & Reporting – Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and client review, maintains accurate project documentation, including estimates, change orders, permits, and inspection records.
Other – Other duties, roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
In-depth knowledge of industrial practices, tools and equipment.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards.
Exceptional organizational skills, record keeping, and strong attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and schedules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enforce policies and collaborate with others including excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
Problem solving and decision-making capabilities in high pressure, time sensitive, geographically diverse locations and situations.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
Strong Electrical estimating background.
Strong working knowledge of Office 365 including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel to job sites regularly with the physical ability to inspect job sites, including confined spaces, as needed.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb for extended periods, on uneven surfaces, in environments with potential exposure to weather and or vehicle hazards, as well as working in office environments on a computer.
Capacity to lift, carry or transport materials and equipment thirty (30) pounds or more.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical project management.
Strong background in machine automation and electrical distribution.
Ability to quote electrical projects with accuracy.
Excellent communication skills to include face-to-face interaction.
Familiarity with NEC, industrial controls, and electrical construction practices.
Tennessee CE license preferred.
PMP certification (preferred but not required).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in operations, construction management, engineering, business, or a related field a plus.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
