Duties:
-Serve as an EMT at a wildland fire incident
- Provide emergency medical care to patients at the scene of an accident or illness
- Assess the nature and extent of injuries or illness and prioritize treatment
- Administer appropriate medical interventions, such as CPR, oxygen, and medications
- Stabilize patients and initiate rapid transport if deemed necessary
- Communicate with the medical personnel receiving the patient to provide information
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Emergency Medical Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Previous experience as a Wildland Firefighter preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity of condition
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and assessing vital signs
- Experience administering injections and medications
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with patient movement
- Skill in airway management techniques
