Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to own and manage our company’s core technology systems and SaaS infrastructure. This role will serve as the primary IT resource for the organization, responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, and other critical business tools.
While this role will operate as the main IT administrator for the company, the Systems Administrator will collaborate with and receive support from our China-based IT team on technical initiatives, troubleshooting, and system management when needed.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing IT operations while partnering with a distributed technical team.
This position primarily operates in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) but requires flexibility to collaborate with team members across other time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration
- Manage and maintain core SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, and other internal systems
- Administer user provisioning, deprovisioning, permissions, and access management
- Maintain system security policies including MFA, SSO, and identity management
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and usage across platforms
IT Operations & Support
- Provide Tier 1–3 technical support for internal employees
- Troubleshoot issues related to user accounts, email systems, collaboration tools, and SaaS integrations
- Maintain IT documentation, system architecture, and internal knowledge base
- Manage employee IT onboarding/offboarding processes and device provisioning
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain security best practices across SaaS systems
- Manage identity providers, authentication systems, and access controls
- Conduct periodic security reviews and audits
- Support compliance initiatives and internal security policies
Automation & Optimization
- Improve workflows through automation, integrations, and system configuration
- Evaluate and recommend tools that improve productivity, security, and operational efficiency
- Maintain integrations between platforms (CRM, email, productivity tools, etc.)
Vendor & Tool Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SaaS vendors and technical partners
- Manage software licenses and subscriptions
- Track system costs and recommend optimizations
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with our China-based IT team on system maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure initiatives
- Coordinate across teams to ensure systems are properly supported across global operations
- Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and collaborate on solutions
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration or IT Operations
- Experience administering Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Experience managing SaaS platforms such as HubSpot, Slack, Zoom, or similar
- Strong understanding of identity management, SSO, and MFA
- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a global IT team
- Experience with Okta, Azure AD, or other identity providers
- Familiarity with device management tools (MDM)
- Experience with SaaS integrations and automation tools
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting fast-growing startups
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred
