Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Leadership Own the end-to-end strategy, design, and operation of Corient’s infrastructure, including cloud platforms, data platform foundations, as well as monitoring and reliability tooling. Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, observable, and resilient across growth and acquisition scenarios. Drive standardization where it accelerates scale, while allowing flexibility where business or regulatory realities require it. Data Platform Engineering Provide senior leadership and oversight for data platform engineering, including data pipelines, data movement, and data platform foundations. Establish clear ownership boundaries between data platform engineering, analytics, and infrastructure to ensure accountability for data reliability and scalability. Closely partner with Data & Analytics leaders to support growth, M&A integration, and regulatory data requirements. Cloud & Engineering Operations Lead cloud engineering, including architecture standards, security controls, access governance, FinOps, and long-term scalability. Oversee DevOps tooling, and automation to enable safe, repeatable deployments. Partner with enterprise platforms, data, and security teams to support integration and modernization initiatives. Reliability, Observability & Infra Operations Establish and grow Corient’s reliability engineering functions, including observability, platform and data pipeline health monitoring, capacity management, and incident enablement. Ensure systems are observable end-to-end, with actionable signals that enable fast diagnosis and prevention of major incidents. Identify opportunities to automate processes. Develop and own incident response playbooks, escalation paths, and after-action reviews. Own disaster recovery and business continuity across infrastructure and data platforms. Leadership & Operating Model Partner with the CTO, technology strategy, enterprise platforms, and business leaders to sequence infrastructure investments and tradeoffs. Ensure infrastructure decisions align with regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and audit expectations. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cloud, data engineering, and SRE teams. Define clear ownership boundaries and operating models across engineering and operations functions. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and calm execution under pressure. Translate technical outcomes into clear business impact for executive stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, data, cloud, or platform engineering, with significant leadership responsibility. Proven experience leading data engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure platforms, and reliability or SRE functions in complex, regulated environments. Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), enterprise infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices. Experience designing operating models across multiple engineering disciplines (cloud, data, SRE). Demonstrated ability to scale infrastructure through growth and M&A while maintaining stability and security. Calm, credible leader with a track record of earning trust from senior engineers and executive stakeholders.
