Position Summary
The Quality Manager leads and maintains Paramount Extrusions’ QMS and ensures compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements. This role requires proven ownership of audit programs and successful certification outcomes. The position partners with operations and leadership to drive quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and improve the AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS.
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Manage corrective actions and ensure sustained compliance.
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability.
- Champion APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection activities.
- Support new product launches and customer qualifications.
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects.
- Reduce scrap, rework, and customer escapes.
- Oversee in-process and final inspections.
- Ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
- Lead nonconformance investigations and CAPA.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain.
- Train and mentor quality team members.
- Monitor quality KPIs and performance metrics.
- Maintain controlled quality records and reports.

Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Six Sigma, CQE, or similar certifications preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years managing Quality Management Systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of AS9100 systems and successful audits.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FAI, and customer qualification processes.
- Background in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Candidates with strong foundational quality experience and demonstrated commitment to professional development will be considered and supported through structured training in aluminum extrusion and related processes.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with QMS software (EPICS) preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T/ASTM B221.
- Proficient with inspection tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Organized, self-directed, and results-oriented.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform pushing, pulling, and twisting tasks.
This represents the employer’s good faith estimate of the base pay range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
California pay range: $60,000 USD - $80,000 USD
