Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing construction team. This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction estimating through project completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, honest, detail-oriented, and experienced in reading construction documents, developing accurate budgets, and actively managing job costs throughout construction.
This is a key leadership position working directly with ownership, field superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Primary Responsibilities : Pre-Construction & Estimating
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and engineering plans
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Develop comprehensive project budgets and cost breakdowns
- Value engineer projects where appropriate
- Maintain historical cost data and estimating templates
Project Management
- Manage project budgets from contract through completion
- Track and control job costs against approved budgets
- Prepare and submit monthly owner billings and draw requests
- Assist with material procurement and ordering
- Coordinate subcontractor scopes and scheduling
- Identify and manage change orders
Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain master construction schedules
- Coordinate schedules with job site superintendents
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays
- Coordinate owner selections and finish schedules
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and subcontractor performance
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Monitor cost reports and forecast project financial performance
- Maintain accurate job cost tracking
- Assist ownership with project financial reporting
- Support closeout documentation and final project reconciliation
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years experience in residential or commercial construction estimating and/or project management
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Experience building project budgets and managing job costs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction management and estimating software
- Strong subcontractor and vendor coordination experience
Preferred:
- Experience in high-end custom residential construction
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of scheduling software (Buildertrend, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Background in field construction or superintendent experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
