Our client, a leading premium food manufacturer with a strong international presence, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join their U.S. team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring incoming payments, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting collections activities to ensure healthy cash flow and accurate financial reporting. This role works cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, and Finance teams to resolve short payments, deductions, and billing issues while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, deductions, and short payments
- Ensure promotional discounts and trade deductions are properly documented
- Reconcile accounts and collaborate with internal teams to resolve variances
- Serve as point of contact for billing and payment inquiries
- Prepare AR status, collections, and payment trend reports
- Provide insights to improve receivables efficiency and cash flow
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience with accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
The position is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office, which is in Lower Manhattan.
The position is temporary - to - permanent. Hourly wage $26.44/hr, permanent salary $55K
