Job Overview
Fredericks Inc. is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman/ Crew Lead to join our growing Team to run day-to-day operations on commercial electrical projects. You'll oversee a crew of 4-6 electricians, drive production, and ensure all work meets NEC standards and project specifications. We're looking for someone who leads from the front, communicates clearly, and keeps the jobsite organized and efficient. Work is local around Central Indiana.
Duties
- Lead, direct, and mentor a crew of 4-6 electricians/ apprentices.
- Plan daily tasks, assign work, and track progress.
- Install conduit, wiring, panels, gear, lighting, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and installation details.
- Coordinate with GC, Project Managers, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and verify quality of work.
- Communicate material needs and daily updates.
- Assist with testing, inspections, and punch list completion.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years commercial electrical experience.
- Proven experience leading crews of 4-6 electricians.
- Strong knowledge of NEX and commercial installation standards.
- Ability to manage workflow, solve problems, and lead effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with design-build and plan-spec projects.
- Experience with fast-tracked commercial projects.
- Strong grounding/ bonding and equipment termination skills.
- Ability to train apprentices and build a strong Team culture.
- Familiarity with digital tools (plan sharing apps, daily logs, timekeeping)
