What You'll Do:
As an IT Operations Manager you'll be the backbone of our day-to-day operations, leading and managing a team of IT Operations Engineers and Devops Engineers. You'll take the helm in solving challenges in our DevOps environment, cloud infrastructure, and network while harnessing the latest cloud provisioning tools. You’ll be responsible for overseeing and continuously improving our critical daily and nightly batch job operations to ensure seamless business processes. Automation will be your middle name as you streamline tasks using a scheduler, boosting efficiency like never before.
The IT Operations Manager will be hybrid in our New York City office.
What You Can Do:
- Have a deep technical understanding of AWS
- Manage monitoring of systems and applications including Linux, Windows, and AWS services
- Manage deployment of applications across a multitude of servers and operating systems hosted on AWS
- Write and use shell and SQL scripting to automate processes
- Build/monitor/troubleshoot/fix all environments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Manage and optimize daily/nightly batch job schedules and operations
- Lead technical initiatives and provide guidance to IT Operations and Devops team members
- Work with CI/CD tools, tasks schedulers, and Amazon Web Services
Skills You'll Need:
- 2-4 years of Linux experience
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
- Familiarity with best practices in IT infrastructure, networking and security
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues
- Strong understanding of batch processing systems and job scheduling
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and customers
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- AWS or any other cloud services experience/certification
- Experience with Teamcity or Terraform
- Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools and batch operation optimization

Pay ranges at OptionMetrics are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at OptionMetrics are eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits.
