About The Role
The Logistics Coordinator ensures the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of logistics activities across multiple projects and locations. This includes managing transportation, scheduling deliveries, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, tracking materials and equipment, and supporting field operations.
The role works closely with operations, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with safety and regulatory standards.
Reporting Relationship
The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations (or Operations Manager) and collaborates cross-functionally with project managers, procurement teams, warehouse personnel, and field supervisors. Regular updates will be provided through operational meetings, project reviews, and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring efficient movement of materials, equipment, and resources across distributed operations.
Logistics Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules for materials and equipment.
- Manage shipment tracking, freight coordination, and vendor communications.
- Optimize routing and scheduling to reduce delays and costs.
- Support mobilization and demobilization of field teams and equipment.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and job sites.
- Coordinate material procurement and replenishment in partnership with purchasing.
- Track tools, equipment, and mission-critical assets.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movement and asset allocation.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist with contract compliance, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation.
- Evaluate vendor performance and escalate service issues as needed.
Operational Support & Compliance
- Ensure logistics processes comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics and operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies.
Systems & Reporting
- Utilize ERP, inventory management, and CRM systems to track orders and shipments.
- Generate logistics performance reports and metrics.
- Maintain accurate records for budgeting and operational forecasting.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- 3–7+ years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or operations support.
- Experience in energy services, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or regulated industries preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Understanding of safety compliance and documentation standards.
- Ability to undergo role-appropriate pre-employment screenings as required.
Acceptable Education and Equivalent Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
