The Tele/Data Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for telecommunications and data infrastructure construction projects. This role involves analyzing project plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring all estimates align with company standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
This estimator will be focused on the higher education and Commercial construction vertical. Please list any experience within this market vertical.
- Estimate Preparation:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for all materials, labor, and equipment required for the project.
- Project Analysis:
- Analyze project scope and technical requirements to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them in the cost estimate.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:
- Solicit and review quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Establish sh and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all vendor and subcontractor quotes are complete and align with project requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and present detailed estimate reports to management and clients.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for tele/data construction projects.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar). ABLe currently utilizes Procore Estimating, bonus if you have experience using this software.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications and data infrastructure construction methods and materials.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneous
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
