Job Summary:
The US Merchandising Analyst supports the achievement of planned inventory levels and the optimization of merchandise assortments across the US salon network to maximize profitability and elevate the client experience. Reporting to global merchandising and working in partnership with the US retail teams, the Analyst provides critical salon support, manages stock allocation and replenishment, and delivers detailed analysis of sales and inventory performance. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, operational rigor, and the ability to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams within a luxury retail environment.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly stock allocation, replenishment, rotation, and rebalancing for the US salon network to maintain healthy inventory levels aligned with market demand.
- Conduct daily sales reviews and analyze US stock and sales performance, reporting on store-specific and regional trends and sharing insights with partners as needed.
- Serve as a key liaison to US salons, facilitating merchandise transfers to support sales opportunities, client requests, and appointment needs.
- Ensure proper product representation and adherence to visual merchandising standards across all US salons, in line with global guidelines and company policies.
- Partner with US and global cross-functional teams (Marketing, PR, Product Management, Logistics, and Global Merchandising) on new product launches, marketing campaigns, events, exhibitions, and photoshoots.
- Execute stock allocations for US-specific initiatives, including new launches, salon openings, re-openings, and in-salon activations, in coordination with the global merchandising team.
- Support stock fulfillment for US marketing initiatives and client-facing events.
- Manage and monitor daily and weekly replenishment shipments to US salons, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Support client appointments as needed, including stock coordination and post-appointment follow-up to capture outcomes and insights.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and managers to review assortment parameters, provide US market feedback, and support the implementation of global product distribution strategies.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with US salon teams and internal cross-functional partners.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and support on special projects as required.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in merchandising, planning, or allocations.
- Luxury retail and/or fine or high jewelry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas); strong retail math skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with US and global teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptability, flexibility, and initiative.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of the US luxury retail landscape.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
