GlassRatner works with law firms, lenders, private equity sponsors, and companies of all types on complex business challenges such as pursuing a fraud investigation or corporate litigation, planning and executing a major acquisition or divestiture, or managing through a business crisis or bankruptcy. We are seeking a full-time IT Director for our Atlanta Office to provide strategic leadership, oversight, and hands-on management of GlassRatner’s technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support the firm’s business objectives.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Strategic IT Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy in alignment with GlassRatner goals and objectives.
- Assess emerging technologies and market trends to inform strategic direction.
- Foster strategic partnerships with business units to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Oversee IT budget planning, cost/benefit analysis, and capital allocation decisions.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, processes, and procedures to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Ensure the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and applications are secure, reliable, compatible, and scalable, including routine upgrades and future-readiness planning.
- Oversee software deployment, security testing, hardware administration, end-user setup, and local IT project execution.
- Lead planning and execution of key service transitions—including system rollouts, upgrades, and migrations—with effective communication and change management.
- Ensure operational readiness through rigorous testing, training, and knowledge transfer across the organization.
- Conduct and maintain documentation for ongoing security and risk assessments.
- Oversee coordination and execution of disaster recovery planning in partnership with MSPs, ensuring plans are maintained and communicated to stakeholders.
Team Development:
- Lead and mentor personnel within IT department.
- Deliver training on internal applications, data sources, and other relevant topics.
- Optimize allocation and utilization of internal and external IT resources.
Vendor Management:
- This role acts as the primary relationship owner to oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring for all IT service providers.
- Manage contracts for applications or data licenses.
- Monitor service agreement performance, including MSP delegated responsibilities, and review reports necessary for overall management of IT.
IT Project Management:
- Conduct business analysis for future major IT projects, collecting business requirements from internal stakeholders, shaping the project demand, prioritizing various IT projects against needs of business and budget allocation.
- Advocate for and lead significant IT initiatives that provide a clear ROI and long-term value for the company.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to bring forward new ideas and solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve IT processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar.
- A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven working experience as an IT Director, VP IT, or similar.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical personnel management, network infrastructure, software and applications, cybersecurity, managed services, technology implementation, and data management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Ability to manage personnel, internal or outsourced.
Working Conditions for this role:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and work outside normal working hours to accommodate time differences and urgent requests, as needed
- Willingness to work at least a hybrid work schedule, with no less than three days per week in office.
