Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including drawings and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the preparation of process documentation and supplemental work instructions for production teams.
- Facilitate implementation and continuous improvement of IPC620 and J-STD-001 manufacturing standards.
- Support training for production staff and provide feedback related to Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer quality requirements, and maintain QMS documentation.
- Participate in MRB, corrective action, and continual improvement initiatives, including internal/external audits.
- Assist on special projects aimed at enhancing productivity, layout, and overall process optimization.
- Contribute to ERP data tracking and perform time studies to aid in labor quoting and project analysis.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solid quality engineering and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with highly regulated environments such as aerospace, defense, medical device, etc.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with machining, CNC programming, 3D printing, or prototyping.
- Exposure to quality management systems (QMS) and internal/external audit coordination.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
- Experience supporting metrics and reports for management review.
