Founder-Level Opportunity
The Opportunity: Defining a New Control Layer in Global Infrastructure
Watson EP is developing a system-level engineering platform designed to convert execution instability in crane-critical and suspended-load operations into engineered, verifiable control.
Across global construction and maritime sectors, these moments of instability generate hundreds of billions annually in avoidable cost, delay, and insurance exposure. This is not a new technology market waiting to be invented — it is an old execution risk that has finally become controllable through disciplined engineering.
The global revenue substrate exceeds $18 trillion annually. The monetizable economic problem across construction, maritime, and insurance exceeds $400 billion in the base case.
Watson EP holds two U.S. provisional patent filings covering predictive-reactive stabilization and lift-sequence governance architecture. The company is in a decisive formation phase, ready to move to IP hardening and prototype validation toward a 24-month go-to-market horizon.
We are seeking a CEO to join at the ground floor as a true operating partner in building a category-defining platform.
The immediate priority will be around executive team and advisory board formation, transition to Delaware C-Corp and securing immediate funding for IP hardening.
Core Strategic Responsibilities
The CEO will work directly with the Founder to lead:
Vision & Market Positioning
• Translate system-level IP into category ownership
• Define commercialization pathways across construction, maritime, and insurer-aligned markets
• Shape long-term global positioning and corporate evolution
Capital Formation & Financial Strategy
• Lead structured capital strategy (non-dilutive partnerships, strategic capital, sovereign and insurer-aligned funding)
• Build a disciplined, milestone-driven funding roadmap
• Protect long-term IP leverage during capital formation
Organizational Build-Out
• Recruit executive and senior engineering leadership
• Develop advisory board architecture (project delivery, insurance, regulatory, and systems expertise)
• Establish operating cadence, governance maturity, and internal execution discipline
Strategic Partnerships & Adoption
• Structure early EPC, owner, and insurer partnerships
• Lead portfolio-level and semi-exclusive licensing discussions
• Position Watson EP as engineered risk infrastructure, not a niche product
Go-to-Market Execution
• Drive deployment sequencing and early-access licensing
• Align commercialization with ROI-driven adoption dynamics
• Transition from formation to scaled execution within 24–36 months
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a leader who has:
• Built or scaled a deep-tech, infrastructure, robotics, industrial automation, or risk-engineering company
• Closed complex capital rounds or structured non-traditional capital arrangements
• Navigated multi-stakeholder environments (EPCs, insurers, sovereign entities, regulators)
• Led organizations through 0-1 and 1-10 stage transitions
• Comfort operating in high-conviction, pre-revenue environments
• Long-term orientation (4 - 6 year build)
Leadership Characteristics
• High emotional intelligence and disciplined judgment
• Comfort with asymmetric opportunity and high expectations
• Integrity in capital stewardship
• Ability to inspire confidence across technical and financial audiences
• Alignment with Watson EP’s dual mission of engineering discipline and philanthropic impact
Compensation & Equity
Compensation will be structured in line with pre-seed, high-value deep-technology ventures.
• Meaningful founding-level equity participation
• Milestone-based vesting aligned to capital formation and commercialization
• Salary introduced or scaled in alignment with funding milestones
• Clean cap table; no institutional investors to date
This role is designed for a builder who values ownership and long-term category creation over short-term salary optimization.
