Ground Transportation Manager
Location: Teterboro, NJ (Must live within 45 minutes of assigned hub)

Trinity Medical Solutions provides critical, around-the-clock transportation services supporting the organ donation and transplant community. We are seeking a Ground Transportation Manager to lead regional ground operations, oversee driver teams and fleet readiness, and ensure safe, compliant, and on-time service delivery in a high-impact healthcare logistics environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. It is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven operations and enjoys building strong, accountable teams.
What You’ll Do
Regional Operations Leadership
- Direct and supervise full-time and part-time driver teams
- Oversee day-to-day ground transportation operations across assigned hubs
- Partner with Logistics and Dispatch to optimize driver utilization
- Serve as an active operational resource during staffing shortages when needed
- Maintain availability during evenings and weekends for urgent operational support
Team Development and Management
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new drivers
- Conduct performance reviews, monthly one-on-ones, audits, and ride-alongs
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and corrective action when necessary
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence
- Support retention and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure completion of all required training within deadlines
Fleet and Compliance Oversight
- Manage fleet readiness and maintenance schedules using Fleetio
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and SOPs, including Samsara monitoring
- Audit driver status, timecards, and attendance records for accuracy
- Manage overtime and labor usage in alignment with company policy
- Support budget awareness and cost-conscious operations
Customer and Partner Support
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners including transplant centers and OPOs
- Investigate and resolve service issues and implement corrective action plans
- Support onboarding of new ground transportation customers
- Ensure customer-specific procedures are consistently followed
- Maintain high service quality and satisfaction levels
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Track and report operational metrics including trip volumes, error rates, retention, utilization, and hub performance indicators
- Partner with senior leadership and analysts on staffing and operational optimization
- Contribute to training materials and process improvement initiatives
- Represent Trinity’s mission and values in all communications
Qualifications Experience
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or related operations
- Experience supervising teams and managing fleet operations required
- Medical, aviation, or transplant-related transportation experience preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
- Familiarity with Samsara, Fleetio, or similar fleet and safety platforms is a plus
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- EVOC / Code 3 experience preferred or required in some regions
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and drive for extended periods
- Willingness to travel and fly commercially as needed
- Travel may range from 25–50 percent
- Must reside within 45 minutes of the Teterboro, NJ hub
