Now Brewing – senior industrial engineer! #tobeapartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
A senior industrial engineer on the Industrial Engineering Solutions team is responsible for driving retail productivity improvements through the simplification of retail coffeehouse operations. This partner will engage in the development and full-scale implementation of coffeehouse solutions and systems in our retail store footprint.
Day-to-day work will balance working as part of cross-functional productivity teams, as well as executing complex system-wide engineering, data analysis and experimentation objectives that increase operational simplicity over time.
As a senior industrial engineer, you will…
- Be analytical, data-driven, research-oriented, and a creative problem solver that can help shape, launch and sustain our coffeehouse productivity strategy.
- Actively connect the work among engineering and other partners across the enterprise to enable strategic initiatives such as equipment, station and coffeehouse development.
- Apply simulation, enterprise analytics, and CAD tools to develop optimized solutions that improve performance across the business.
- Drive cross‑functional teams and ensure business requirements become well‑defined objectives, addressing process, modeling, and operational challenges to keep projects moving forward.
