About the RoleThe Manufacturing Business Operations – Internal Logistics Engineering team is seeking a motivated Engineer to support internal logistics projects across multiple North American manufacturing sites. This role is ideal for recent graduates or junior-level engineers who are eager to gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing, logistics engineering, and process improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Internal Logistics Manager, this position plays a key role in optimizing internal material flow by balancing the needs of External Logistics, Production Engineering Planning, and Manufacturing Operations to develop efficient, scalable internal delivery processes.
What You’ll Be DoingLead and support cross-functional internal logistics projects across manufacturing facilities
Partner with engineering, production, and logistics teams to troubleshoot and improve parts flow
Analyze current-state processes and challenge existing systems to develop optimal future-state logistics solutions
Develop and execute strategies to communicate supply chain KPIs, including internal delivery, routing, and returns handling
Collaborate with plant teams and pilot engineers to confirm process requirements, equipment needs, and system compliance
Support and lead installation of internal logistics equipment, including both manual and automated delivery systems
Support training and testing activities related to internal logistics systems
Operate effectively within compressed timelines to support manufacturing schedules

Qualifications (Must Have)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, and/or Planner
AutoCAD layout design experience
Demonstrated project planning experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel 50%+, including multi-week site support as needed
Based out of Blue Springs, MS, while supporting additional manufacturing sites
Preferred / Nice to HaveProject Management experience
Experience supporting automation or innovation project installations
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or other CAD tools
Experience with FlexSim or simulation software
Material and Information Flow Chart training
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
