RSI Logistics, a trusted leader in rail‑served logistics solutions and a proud subsidiary of TrinityRail, is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Manager to lead operations across our South/Eastern region. As a Regional Manager, you’ll oversee multiple transloading terminals, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer‑focused operations. You’ll be a key culture‑builder and strategic partner, empowering teams to deliver exceptional service while upholding the RSI/Trinity values of safety, honesty, integrity, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead High‑Performing Terminal Operations
- Direct, optimize, and support daily terminal activities to ensure safe, efficient handling of commodities
- Oversee bulk transfer operations, office workflows, maintenance planning, and internal/external communication
- Build and Develop Strong Teams
- Partner with the Trinity HR Talent Team to maintain proper staffing levels
- Maintain consistent communication with Terminal Managers, providing guidance, support, and timely issue resolution
- Set clear expectations and ensure strong verbal and written communication across the region
- Champion Safety & Compliance
- Enforce rigorous safety standards and regulatory requirements across all terminals
- Promote a culture where safety is non‑negotiable
- Drive Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and track KPIs to measure operational effectiveness
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and elevate service quality
- Ensure consistent SOP adherence across all markets
- Develop People & Culture
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to ensure clarity in roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Manage Regional Resources
- Oversee regional expenses and ensure responsible financial stewardship
- Travel 50–70% to terminals within the region, with occasional travel for cross‑regional support and offsite meetings
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railroad terminal operations, transloading, safety regulations, or related fields
- At least 3 years of proven leadership experience managing teams in an operational environment
- Strong customer‑facing experience and relationship‑building skills
- Exceptional communication abilities and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Demonstrated dedication to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
- Ability to stay composed under pressure, solve problems effectively, and make sound decisions
- Willingness to live in or relocate to the South/Eastern region
