Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000
Position Summary
The Maintenance Engineering Manager leads a high-performing team of engineers and maintenance professionals within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving process improvement, automation initiatives, and new technology integration across all production areas, with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional maintenance and engineering team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and automation strategies
- Oversee maintenance engineering support across all production lines to maximize uptime, quality, and efficiency
- Lead and manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades and new technology implementations
- Apply AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC) to support quality and process optimization
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize PLC-based automation systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) to support production and maintenance operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong experience within the automotive manufacturing environment
- Hands-on expertise with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC)
- Proven track record of process improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Experience with automation and PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Demonstrated success managing technical projects and capital investments
