Guild Associates, Inc. is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team in our Dublin office. This role participates in Guild’s IT support and systems management efforts including client and server infrastructure, cybersecurity, file and print management, networking, software applications, telephony, and user account administration. The person who fills this role also will function as the first point of contact for supporting the technical needs of the business and its employees.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and interpersonal communication skills, which will enable him/her to collaborate well with various employees and leaders within the company. This person will share ownership of all technical issues with other department members.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and solve everyday technology problems
- Prioritize and respond to tickets, emails, calls, and messages, providing quick follow-up with internal customers
- Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
- Proactively monitor systems for performance, and identify potential troubles before they arise
- Configure, update, and secure systems and applications on a regularly scheduled basis
- Develop and update IT-specific documentation such as asset inventory, knowledge base articles, configuration changes, and project artifacts
- Research, test, recommend, and implement new technical solutions
- Report on the status of projects and tickets to the IT Manager
- Follow asset management lifecycle processes, from initial procurement to disposal/recycling
- Ensure routine backups are completed and tested
- Stay up to date on current and innovative technologies and best practices
- Follow IT and Business change management processes
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Technical Experience
- Microsoft Windows client server infrastructure and OS upgrades
- Microsoft 365 Suite, Azure, Entra, Intune
- Ticketing software
- Endpoint management software
- Endpoint peripherals (i.e., printers, scanners, USB devices/hubs, A/V equipment)
- Mobile devices - both iOS and Android
- PowerShell scripting
- Backup software/solutions
- Wired and wireless network technologies
- Remote Access (VPN) and other security-related products
- Cybersecurity practices including development and implementation of additional security measures
- Knowledge of CIS benchmarks, NIST SP, and CMMC is highly desirable
- Manufacturing software (2D and 3D CAD) is a plus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology (CIS), Cybersecurity, or related degree
- Minimum 4 years of technical experience in the technologies listed above, which may include home lab work and internships
- Proactive and positive mindset
- Proven experience to develop and maintain business relationships
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Desire to learn new skills and technology
- Occasional local travel between buildings, within 15-mile radius
- Occasional overtime and on-call shifts may be required
