We are looking for a skilled Logistics Lead to join our team in Houston, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position requires an analytical and forward-thinking individual who can assess existing workflows, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive impactful changes and optimize performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze current workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
• Develop and implement roadmaps to enhance logistics operations and achieve strategic goals.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Create detailed reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel and Spotfire to provide insights and track performance.
• Collaborate with field operations personnel and external stakeholders to address logistical challenges and streamline communication.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and updating of dispatch policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Manage emergency response situations by prioritizing dispatch needs and maintaining clear communication with field units.
• Train and mentor dispatch personnel, identifying skill gaps and recommending development opportunities.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to safety protocols within logistics operations.
• Lead the buildout and optimization of logistics consoles, driving process improvements and delivering measurable results.
• Critical performance management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess and improve workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Spotfire, PowerBI, or SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage dashboards to monitor and report on operational metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams and external partners.
• Ability to respond quickly to urgent situations and resolve logistical issues with minimal supervision.
• Experience in training and developing personnel, fostering leadership skills within the team.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and compliance requirements in the logistics industry.
