POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Process Engineer position is responsible for analyzing, designing, improving and documenting the production processes and machinery in the facility. They will collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Quality and other teams to facilitate the installation, troubleshooting, repair and proactive maintenance of food grade production, packaging and facility equipment according to safety policies & procedures. Successful candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment with proven success in eliminating bottlenecks, optimizing output, and improving machinery uptime efficiency rates – all while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality in the processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILTIES (including but not limited to):
- Develop Preventative Maintenance programs on all Food Production & Packaging equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes. Recommend and implement corrective actions
- Analyze downtime and maintenance history on all equipment to determine critical spare parts, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance schedules, etc.
- Maintain PM maintenance logs to comply with Food Safety and Operational requirements
- Identify and drive continuous improvement projects and activities focused on Quality, Safety, and Productivity
- Conduct research to develop new & improved processes for manufacturing
- Keep tools, parts and spare equipment organized and in working order
- Order and maintain inventory of Spare Parts, Tools & Supplies
- Be able to conduct yourself in an environment where food is made and not introduce foreign material contaminants and hazards to the product line.
