The Opportunity:
The Assistant Logistics Manager, Amazon plays a key role in executing and continuously improving our direct-to-consumer logistics operations, with a primary focus on our Amazon third-party (3P) business. Partnering closely with the Logistics Manager, this role supports operational excellence across inventory management, fulfillment, transportation, and returns, while serving as a key liaison between internal teams and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
This position requires strong operational judgment, systems fluency, and a proactive mindset to anticipate risks, resolve issues, and support scalable processes that ensure product availability, on-time delivery, and a strong customer experience, particularly during peak periods, promotions, and seasonal programs.
What you’ll get to do:
Amazon & E-Commerce Operations
- Support the end-to-end logistics execution for the Amazon 3P business, including inbound shipments, inventory availability, fulfillment performance, and returns
- Partner with Key Account, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory and delivery commitments are met across Amazon and other DTC channels
- Monitor Amazon-specific operational KPIs (fill rate, inventory health, chargebacks, shortages, delivery performance) and support corrective action plans as needed
Warehouse & 3PL Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations across two locations (Allentown, PA and New Brunswick, NJ), ensuring timely and accurate receiving, storage, packing, and shipping
- Serve as a primary point of contact between PUIG and 3PL partners, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring adherence to SLAs and brand requirements
- Proactively identify and resolve shipping, transportation, and inventory discrepancies to maintain uninterrupted product flow
Inventory & Returns Management
- Support inventory planning and execution, including inbound tracking, transfers, cycle counts, and reconciliation
- Manage and streamline the returns process in partnership with 3PL and internal teams, ensuring timely resolution and accurate inventory updates
- Implement robust tracking and traceability processes for inbound and outbound inventory, aligned to brand-specific needs and Amazon compliance standards
Projects & Peak Readiness
- Coordinate logistics execution for special projects, including holiday sets, gift-with-purchase programs, launches, and seasonal initiatives
- Assist in peak planning and execution for high-volume periods, ensuring readiness across inventory, warehouse capacity, and transportation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a trusted operational partner to the Logistics Manager, providing insights, data, and recommendations to support decision-making
- Lead by example with a solutions-oriented, collaborative approach across supply chain, sales, finance, and customer service teams
- Support documentation, SOP development, and knowledge sharing to strengthen operational consistency and team effectiveness
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or other related field (preferred)
- 3–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, e-commerce operations, or inventory management; Amazon 3P experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple operational workstreams simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through, with the ability to anticipate issues and act decisively
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing outcomes without direct leadership
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) with comfort analyzing operational data and translating it into action
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with curiosity and agility in fast-paced environments
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to warehouse locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania up to three days per month
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000.00 - $85,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
