Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Plumbing Project Manager to work with our project management team in the Commercial, High Rise Residential, Healthcare and Hospitality industry in NYC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management procedures, excellent communication skills, an affable demeanor, a high level of organizational skills, and a proven track record. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of plumbing materials and methods and should be able to read plumbing plans. The candidate will work in close proximity with Supervisors and ownership to learn company-specific operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular updates on project status, changes, and milestones.
- Allocate labor, materials, and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Write change orders and manage submittals and closeout documentation .
- Review and interpret plumbing blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work .
- Schedule work teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Compile submittal packages for trade contractors and handle AIA invoicing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 10 years of experience as a Plumbing Project Manager or Plumbing Job Superintendent or Foreman.
- Familiarity with AIA invoicing and the ability to compile submittal packages for trade contractors.
- Previous hands-on experience in the plumbing industry is a plus.
- Strong ability to review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Experience scheduling crews and coordinating work to meet project timelines.
- Experience allocating labor, materials, and resources to meet deadlines.
- Ability to write change orders and manage submittals and closeout documentation.
- Ability to provide regular project updates and manage changes and milestones.
- Proven experience managing relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Native or fluent English speaker.
- Strong computing proficiency, including email and the MS Office suite.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
