Excel Electric is a family owned and operated electrical contractor in Greenville, SC. We are looking to add a full-time / permanent project manager to our growing team. Service and customer focus is the foundation of this company

As a Project Manager for Excel Electric you will be responsible for overseeing the full execution of projects from estimating to the completion of projects related to commercial, industrial, healthcare and other non-residential electrical systems.

Estimating responsibilities include working with fellow project managers, vendors, customers and learning the ConEst IntelliBid software to provide quotes to our customers. Candidates must be able to read and understand engineered design drawings, to build estimates and material lists.

Project management responsibilities include ordering materials, starting up technicians, and following up with technicians and customers on the work you are overseeing.

Other responsibilities may include:

Employee supervision to ensure that employees are working professionally, neatly and safely
Responding to after-hours emergency calls that may require your knowledge, skills and supervision
Assisting with and coordinating de-energized maintenance and other shutdown job
Lead and assist technicians in analyzing and resolving existing and anticipated issues that may arise during projects
Working with senior management to facilitate weekly projects and technicians’ schedules

Qualifications:

Maintain a valid driver’s license
High School graduate, or GED
5+ years of electrical installation and troubleshooting experience in a commercial and industrial environment
5+ years of project management and estimating experience
Must be able to multitask and manage multiple job sites in different phases of the projects and determine the best methods for completing a project
Strong leadership and communication skills
Know and adhere to OSHA, NEC, and NFPA standards and safety regulations
