About the Position:
We're seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the development of our groundbreaking food storage technology. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment where you'll gain hands-on experience (80%) while developing project coordination skills (20%).
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Development
- Assist in creating 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings
- Support prototyping processes under supervision
- Help document product requirements and specifications
- Participate in supplier and contractor communications
- Assist with prototype testing and troubleshooting
- Learn to integrate basic electrical components into mechanical designs
- Support Arduino prototyping efforts
Manufacturing & Testing
- Assist with manufacturing partner communications
- Help validate prototypes and assemblies
- Support testing protocol execution
- Learn about manufacturing process optimization
Project Coordination
- Maintain project documentation
- Track development timelines using project management tools
- Participate in design team meetings
- Support senior team members on project execution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1-2+ years of experience in product design/development
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles
- Willingness to learn about electrical components and PCB integration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Arduino/Raspberry Pi
- Interest in consumer products or appliance design
