Position Overview
We are currently seeking Armed Level III Protective Security Officers (PSOs) to support federal operations at secure government facilities in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Mora NM. This is a highly professional post requiring attention to detail, disciplined conduct, and strict adherence to DHS regulations.
Successful candidates will serve as the first line of defense, ensuring the safety of federal personnel, assets, and operations. This is a federal contract role, and all officers are expected to maintain a high level of physical presence, professionalism, and vigilance at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct access control operations and enforce site-specific post orders
- Verify credentials and screen all personnel and visitors entering the facility
- Maintain perimeter integrity through foot patrols and surveillance
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, suspicious behavior, or unauthorized activity
- Complete detailed and legible Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident documentation
- Adhere to Fiore Industries protocols and federal security policies
- Operate professionally when interacting with federal employees, contractors, and the public
- Maintain radio discipline and active communication throughout shift
- Remain at assigned post for the full duration of scheduled hours unless relieved
Minimum Qualifications
- Must reside in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Mora or nearby surrounding areas (local candidates only)
- Active New Mexico Level III Armed Guard Card (Required)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and drug screening
- Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail
- Capable of standing and patrolling for 12 hour shifts
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations and remain calm under pressure
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred but not required
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
